For 445 million years, horseshoe crabs have emerged from the ocean to lay their eggs on certain sandy beaches like the one at Broad Cove Reserve. This annual family-friendly event celebrates this phenomenon and provides opportunities to handle horseshoe crabs and learn about these unique creatures from experts. Please note that horseshoe crabs are completely harmless; they don't pinch, stink or bite.

What to Bring: This is an event geared for all ages, so please bring the whole family! Pets are not permitted. We suggest wearing long sleeves and pants due to brown tail moth in the area.

Directions: The property is located in Cumberland Foreside on the east side of Route 88 near the intersection with Tuttle Road. A parking lot is located on the right side of Beach Drive just beyond the entrance.

Parking: Park at the parking lot on Beach Drive on the right near the entrance. Parking will be limited, so please consider carpooling, biking, or walking. Allow 15 minutes to walk down to the beach.
