Join us at Knight’s Pond to learn about the arriving migrant birds. At 300 acres including a 46-acre pond and scrubby marsh, Knight’s Pond Preserve has begun to develop a loyal local birding following. Extensive trails pass through a variety of habitats, with a good diversity of breeding birds.

Get Out! Nature Walks

These Get Out! Nature Walks are led by trained master naturalists and skilled volunteers. They occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month (unless indicated otherwise), rain, snow, or shine. Jointly offered by both CCLT and the Royal River Conservation Trust, the walks take place at preserves in the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, New Gloucester, Durham, and anywhere else we decide to roam.
