Rines Forest Invasive Species Management Work Session

  • Rines Forest 352-362 Range Rd Cumberland, ME, 04021 United States (map)

Please join us for an invasive species management / work session at Rines Forest on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. We'll meet at the Range Road parking lot at 8:30 and then head into the woods to cut back / pull out invasive bittersweet, honeysuckle, buckthorn, multi-flora rose and maybe a couple of others. This is a joint CCLT - Town of Cumberland event. The fall is a GREAT time to get out into nature. There will be some knowledgable naturalists on our crew, so the session won't be just about invasive plants. Bring water, gloves and dress for a short hike. Limb loppers and branch trimmers will be the tools du jour - bring 'em if you've got 'em. Extra tools will be on hand to share. Come for the entire session or just join us as / when you are able!

What to Bring: Water, gloves, limb loppers, branch trimmers, and hiking boots.

Later Event: October 22
