Many things change within and around us as the Solstice approaches.  The days have grown shorter, the temperatures colder each day.  It can be hard to choose to go outside, but we are inviting you to do just that! Join us for a walk at Memak Preserve after the bustle of Christmas day is past. This will be a time to slow down, observe the beauty of a winter forest, and welcome the returning light.  We will venture to a small clearing and hang all-natural ornaments for birds and other critters to munch on, and read poems that marvel at the wonder of the natural world and welcome back the light. Then, we will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate back at the parking area. Please feel free to bring an all-natural ornament to hang and a poem or reading to share if you like.
